BBC sent a cease and desist to Perplexity today asking them to delete all past content and not scrape future. So appears there has been a delay as copyright holders get to grips with it.
Surely they could have made an example of a more recent pirate rather than go after this one.
It’s madness for any of these pirates to be based in a western country, as no matter how good you think you are at concealing yourself, the amount of money being lost means companies will spend a lot to track you down hiring top level experts. Assisted by the USA and EU state level departments.
I don't know if this [1] article is only talking about taxes or if the statute of limitations also applies in this case but it may be worth looking into. Anyone here from Greece?
