Cute little tool. Obviously this is not meant to compete with the heavy weight competitors like nagios , nms or zabbix… so it’s ok that this won’t scale.

One thing that takes away from general usability is the platform itself. Each time I see npm I think of https://www.monkeyuser.com/2017/npm-delivery/


looks nice. I am wondering though: do you really want to host your own uptime monitoring? and if it’s down? I’d imagine that’s where it almost always better to have someone else host and manage it for you?


You usually want bidirectional monitoring on the monitoring server, so let an external service monitor your monitoring server and it should be cheap.


Sometimes it is less reliable as self hosted solution.
