The #region directive in c# is pretty awesome for this and I
really
wish every language had something similar. Sadly I'm not sure there's a great way to do it for e.g. ruby and obviously the situation would be even worse for homoiconic languages.

Man, he's lucky he's never had to deal with a 12k lines in the main executable. Regions are a godsend there.

I used to use them, but now I view #regions as a massive code smell.
