Hey, I'm the second MediaCrush guy. You might have read the discussion [1] yesterday about our site. We've got some feedback and users want proper accounts. Since we value user privacy so highly, we don't want to balls it up. Unfortunately, we aren't crypto experts, as the comments on our last post will gleefully tell you. We've put together a mechanism [2] for storing encrypted blobs of user info on our servers and decrypting them on the client, and we'd like to tap the HN community for people more crypto-savvy than we are. Do you have any comments on our system?
