But honestly, it's nitpicking, free software is humanity's real chance of having ethical software, and the situation in open source land is orders of magnitude better in this regards, than in proprietary land.

Both Ubuntu and Firefox aren't free software but a mixture of free and non-free software.

Also they both allow to easily remove the ads unlike any fully proprietary software.
