There are reasons to job-hop other than pay rate, though. Typically, I move on from a position because I've learned all I can learn from my current one and start stagnating, not to get more pay.

That said, I've certainly maintained pay parity with people who hunker down in one place for their whole career. But even if I didn't, I'd still job-hop for the other benefits.
