Like the other poster said, it's all an act. Tesla sales are way down and Elon's entire fortune is tied to Tesla stock. They are trying to get some gullible people to buy Tesla's and the press is running with it like it's a real feud.
Trump is immune to these types of attacks. His supporters don't operate on the same value system. He has been linked with Epstein for years. He has been impeached twice. None of that matters to his supporters and saying Elon saying it can only gain him favor with liberals.
> Elon saying it can only gain him favor with liberals.
This is absurd. Musk has already completely burned his bridges with Democrats. There's no going back. Making some petty insult against Trump, reminiscent of the "pedo guy" comment, isn't going to magically switch people from protesting and actually defacing Teslas to buying them.
The article is talking about a handful of Democratic politicians such as Ro Khanna "who represents Silicon Valley", cynically looking for political talking points. But the actual voters still despise Musk, as proved by the recent Wisconsin Supreme Court election, where Musk's participation was a huge liability. Not to mention that Musk is still publicly committed to drastically slashing government spending, which is obviously not a winning issue with Democrats.
The same Democratic leadership brain(-dead) trust thought it was a great idea to parade around Liz Cheney in 2024, as if that won a single vote for Harris.
Maybe Ro Rhanna will buy a Tesla, but it sounds like he was never boycotting in the first place.
