While I'm hesitant to accept anything posted on social media [Reddit, in this case] as something that translates to real-life sentiment of the average person, there has been quite a bit of celebration and encouragement towards damaging Tesla vehicles on there over the last several weeks.

In addition to the a story I saw here of a note with a brick left on a car owners windshield.

Fascinating tactic when you consider that damaging a Tesla is the only way Musk can get more money out of a used Tesla.

But I guess it's just mindless mob hatred.


I don't think you are including the discouraging effect on buying a new Tesla, and being prone to vandalism might also be considered by insurance companies on their calculations.
