.. have I missed something, because TVs are already the flattest consumer durable that isn't, say, flooring?


The idea is to make reparable and part of the circular economy.


You could split a TV into a couple parts, but I'm skeptical about how much that would improve repairability over the status quo. If you're able to fix those parts, you can get the TV open.

Getting some manufacturers to use standardized control boards and power supplies, and listing them in the spec sheet, would do a lot more than any ease of access.


Being able to get the panels+frame separately from the control boards would be great. Doubt it's really practical though.
