So what search machines should i use instead to find some of those sites?


Baidu.com (in Chinese) Yandex.com (in English)

Although you will prefer google for shopping, reddit, restaurants, etc.

duckduckgo is still reasonably usable. Otherwise use sites that index DHT or use piracy communities on lemmy.

Google should be regarded as an enemy of the internet, and probably, by extension, society. But then so should any corporation that size.


Bing has also been cracking down on piracy and streaming, and the effect on DDG has been notorious.


If DDG is making any money, they should be investing it in creating their own independent index
