I agree we'll have AGI/ASI in the next 100-200 years, probably the next 10.
I'm not sure about "Humans will not exist in a million years from today" in [1] though. We've been quite good at preserving interesting species.
Re. places to discuss it - x/twitter? There are serious people on there though it's not easy to chat. r/singularity is quite jolly but not a very serious place.
