GP didn't even offer a hint of criticism of the religion itself, only to the insistence that children be indoctrinated to it in public schools. It's curious and kind of telling that Christians view that as a personal attack on them.


Hah. I just don't want it in public schools. Attract people to your church and beliefs, don't use state power to force them on everyone. Thanks.


Public schools being extensions of the government can't teach religion without violating the guarantee to not favor certain religions over others.

That being said though, the US is in practice a Christian country first and foremost and that's likely not going to ever change.


That's a straw man argument unrelated to the article. No need to be smug either, it doesn't help make your case of not being a bigot.
