Ask HN: EU (NL) SaaS owners, how do you do taxes?

I run a small SaaS in the Netherlands which operates mainly by accepting stripe payments.

Up until now, I used to do bookkeeping/accounting using plain text accounting (I have 10+ years of discipline doing my personal finances, so it felt natural to do business finances as well), but it starts to become a bit of a hassle, so I'm looking for more streamlined options.

Accountants are too expensive, and I don't, yet, generate enough money to justify them. Moreover, they tend to charge per invoice, and I issue a good amount of invoices a month, albeit for low sums (usually sub 10€/$ per invoice).

So my next choice was looking at SaaS offerings. Xero and Exact online are too expensive for solo small business, MoneyBird and e-boekhouden.nl do not support multi currency (I operate in both EUR and USD), and at the moment I'm looking at Zoho Books, but from my understanding they do not have a dedicated module for NL taxes/vat. Edit: I also forgot about Odoo, so checking this as well and in comparison to Zoho.

I'm fine paying 15-20 EUR/USD per month for a comprehensive software that is able to ingest stripe transactions, connect to EU bank, and add transactions manually (+upload invoices). A big plus would be generating Dutch compliant Tax and VAT reports. And of course obvious things like cashflow, profit/loss, etc.

Anyone got suggestions?

Did you explore this?

https://stripe.com/en-nl/tax

Cost is much higher (80 eur/month) than your target, but a pay-as-you-go option is 0.5% per transaction.

It’s not an accounting/bookkeeping thing. I can’t record expenses there, generate PnL reports, etc.

Sorry, I misunderstood
