IPv6 is also the real symetric internet, it will increase pressure on "IP trust management" for the users. But this is less worse that the current centralized Big Tech stolen internet accutely favored by IPv4.

It is going to be very hard to do properly "IP trust management" delegation to applications, for instance p2p applications. Basically, it will end up like android linux: many closed-source/open-source-compromised apps will be given that "IP trust management" by the user making it irrelevant. And thinking one second that this power can be handed over to some sort authority... omg... look at the world and human History.


That's quite an unexpected piece from APNIC. Basically, they openly question the need for unique addressing and end-to-end communication given today's market shift from the network itself to apps as the valuable thing, and they conclude that the market has no need for IPv6.
