I thought it was an interesting article. Though, when there is a perceived lack of opportunity, I think people start taking greater risks to create opportunity. Isn't that a rational outcome?

It’s disappointing to me that people share articles from unqualified perspectives on HN. There are many baseless assumptions in that article, and in part this is a reason why social media has a misinformation problem.
