Yeah, I know several people in my direct family who are prescribed Gabapentin for a variety of reasons, none of whom have any history of addiction. I personally was taking it for a few months to relieve symptoms of a Multiple Sclerosis relapse (peripheral neuropathy, primarily). I think your perspective needs to be broadened a bit here.
