Why 'Grep' when such a tool with this name already exists since... 1973? Or even before if we're counting `g/re/p`.

This is nice and has a very snappy UX.

For the Vercel folks, how are you all thinking about this tool compared to offerings from Github[1] or Sourcegraph[2]?

How is this genuinely different from GitHub search? More advanced grep options? Also, I'd love to see repositories available in CodeQL. GitHub seems to be promoting CodeQL heavily again.

For me it is mainly ease of use. I don't have to login to GitHub, it has all the necessary filters just there: repositories, paths, languages. It is very fast and supports regex search.

can we have something like an api for this ? I am thinking of creating a cli tool on top of this thing interesting
