> Now another global scale issue (whether you call it genocide or collective punishment) is being twisted beyond all moral boundary by censorship and gaslighting from this Admin.
What are you referring to? There’s a chasm of difference between genocide and collective punishment. I’m not from the US, but it’s my understanding Facebook doesn’t need intervention from the US government to contribute to genocide, they’re quite capable of doing it on their own.
> Can you see the irony in how learning more about this from the very person who enacted the censorship making you cheer more for the people directly responsible for it?
That criticism only applies if you believe the person making the claim. Is Mark Zuckerberg trustworthy? He’s the CEO who infamously called his users “dumb fucks” for trusting him and lied about the harms he knows his platforms cause. Hardly a paragon of trust. So I don’t see it as ironic that someone would hear what Zuckerberg has to say and immediately think it’s at best a self-serving half-truth.
> The Biden Admin has censored, and are currently censoring, stories they disagree with or dislike - without regard to truth. On a massive scale.
No American administration has ever not censored stories it didn’t agree with or like. Arguably no administration could do otherwise. If you think the previous administration didn’t do exactly the same thing to exactly the same degree you’re either admitting that you are naive or that they were incompetent.
> Our collective understanding around everything Corona was warped and disfigured with lasting consequences.
The fact that you call it “Corona” implies that your understanding about SARS-CoV2 is about equivalent to that of the “collective”, meaning you have no idea whatsoever the matter of which you’re talking about. Meta played as much of (if not more of) a role in your collective ignorance as this administration (which took over after most of that damage was done).
> Now another global scale issue (whether you call it genocide or collective punishment) is being twisted beyond all moral boundary by censorship and gaslighting from this Admin.
Please do explain what issue you’re speaking to here.
> Can you see the irony in how learning more about this from the very person who enacted the censorship making you cheer more for the people directly responsible for it?
I’m not cheering, I’m saying that billionaire idiot’s thoughts on any matter make me more inclined to stand on whichever side of the line he isn’t on. Hardly cheering, it’s just that his reputation for, for example, directly enabling actual genocide in Myanmar, makes him instantly less than credible on where the appropriate line to draw is for content moderation.
