I question the premise of this article - I think we are absolutely coding features faster than decades ago. As much as we might hate the current state of just gluing together libraries to get a slight variant on yet another CRUD app, tacking on some cloud services, and deploying via your favorite flavor of CI/CD... the fact that we do it so often to be tired of it tells us exactly how much faster at cranking out features and apps than we were in the original dotcom days, even when you are part of a scrum-based dystopia.
