I think HN is aiming for thoughtful and novel comments on the content of the article; complaints like "page loaded slowly" are shallow. The parent comment feels more on-point since the article is about optimizing websites and the post is itself a demo.

I'm seeing <1% CPU on Firefox/Debian, but I have video autoplay turned off (I rarely want to watch them).

Shallow comments are always bad, but a thorough examination on what’s triggering that infinite loop, if that’s really type case, would be great IMO, regardless of what the article is discussing in the first place.
