This would be a great point if internal combustion cars didn't have tires, but they do.



Also tire pollution is a solvable problem without mass collective action, whereas climate change is going to require not just any solution but every solution in order to have a meaningful impact. It's the kind of problem where there's no silver bullet, just a lot of hard work ahead of us.

Interesting. How are we solving the microplastics problem and the plastic islands in the ocean without mass collective actions?


By fiat. We're banning some kinds of single-use plastics. Collective action would be each individual deciding to stop using plastic.


Even then it would be a terrible point considering the far greater problem is CO2 emissions.


Why is that a far greater problem?


Because PM2.5 pollution isn't the big driver of climate change.

Tire dust is a pollutant and certainly has health impacts, but it's not gonna make the oceans rise.


I am not so sure that the climate change is worse than the plastic pollution. Do you have any links comparing these?
