About 3 in 10 Americans would seriously consider buying an electric vehicle (pewresearch.org)

I'm moving back to the greater DC area soon and trying to see if I can just switch to a bicycle. I used to aspire to an electric car for environmental reasons, but a bike may be a stronger candidate.

I did that for 5 years in DC one of the interesting side effects for me was it limited the amount of stuff I could buy due to what I could carry home on my bike so I ended up living a more minimal life as well, it was nice to declutter my life :)

I've bought 4, so far. Will never go back to gas.

Same, once you go EV can't stand how slow and stinky gas cars are.

It's the vibrations and noise for me. The first thing I notice when riding in a gas car is the constant vibration especially when stopped at a light.

Perhaps you should compare new EVs to new gas cars, because new gas cars shut off their engines at traffic lights.

And wear out starters that are costing over $1k to replace for some vehicles.

I’m pretty sure I’ll never by a car made after 2015 for the rest of my life.

No spywear.

Actual buttons and knobs.

Can fill up wherever I want.
