They hired a voice actor who had a similar voice profile to her, a similar voice to what they were looking for. If you just hear the voice they used, it sounds very similar, but if you actually play them side by side, you can hear they are very clearly different.

How is that different from anything else? You ask someone to do something you want them to do, they say no, so you then go and find someone else that will do what you need which is what they did.
