That's not a positive thing.

Another way to spin it: renewable electricity (except hydro) is literally worthless. You get it when you don't need it, but you don't have any guarantee it'll be available when you do.



People don’t use electricity during the day?


There is a glut of solar power during the day, hence the spot price goes down to zero.

There is zero solar power at night, you know, the time when you need the lights on.
