I'm not sure why the submitter went with that headline instead of the actual headline of the article: "How AI could explode the economy and how it could fizzle.". The piece itself discusses both "AI will be a huge economic boon" and "AI will have little economic effect" stances.

My prediction is that it will not cause explosive economic growth, but it will have noticeable economic effects that will benefit some at the expense of others.



More interested in the opinions of those on this site and I thought the article would prompt some interesting discussion.


The established practice is to use the same title as the article you're submitting (with a few exceptions). From the guidelines:

> please use the original title, unless it is misleading or linkbait; don't editorialize.

So that's what people tend to expect, and is why I was surprised when I clicked through.
