The UK has been eating fungus based meat replacements for decades.




No Quorn in the us because of their insistence on marketing it as 'Made from Mushrooms!' when no mushrooms participate in it's manufacture whatsoever.

Something broken there, not sure what.


Quorn is definitely sold in the US. Here's one of their products sold by Kroger, a large American supermarket chain:

Ah! They changed their marketing for America:

   "Mycoprotein, which is sourced from the earth"
Sounds better than 'made from fungus'
