Notice how were 3 layers deep in a conversation about "AI safety" without anyone actually giving an opinion I support of safety.
If I were a betting man I'd say the fact that the most public "AI safety" orgs/people/articles don't address the actual concerns people have is intended. It's much easier to argue against an opinion you've already positioned as ridiculous.
