I really like Twilio's APIs and how simple they make stuff like this. You can clone a repo of theirs and get a video call in your browser / on your phone in about 5 minutes. So smart.



Twilio is shutting down those APIs :(

It's a shame. Lots of people built their first things/got introduced to WebRTC via it.


AFAIK, Twilio is shutting down its Video product. I don’t think its Voice product is affected (although the SDKs for both use WebRTC).


Why are they doing that? Is there a canonical post about it?

I wonder why. I thought the point of WebRTC was that you don't need a load of infrastructure to serve it.
