Save you the click. Jasper raised $125 million on a 1.5B valuation. Their business is built on openai apis. "Long story short, OpenAI appears to be focusing its strategy for growth on making building AI tools easy by vertically integrating their solutions into higher abstraction layers… where the wrappers (companies built wrapping openai APIs) happen to be making their bucks.

I don't know that they killed them but perhaps the valuation needed a reset. Maybe cars with Ferrari body kits aren't worth the same as an actual Ferrari?

Yeah, if a product you depend on can release a feature to make you obsolete, maybe $1.5B wasn't a very good valuation?

Why is everyone still publishing on Medium? I refuse to pay for it, write for free, and let the big corporation profit, ridiculous.

Here's a blog post that boils down to "Hey look, platform risk is bad, emmm kay?"

Yeah-- they probably knew that to begin with, but they wanted to cash out before the rug was pulled. It was a risk they took and it didn't work out. Don't feel bad for them, I don't.

Seems like it took longer than 45 minutes to build out the feature.

Very first line of the article:

> This is a story about how a 45-minute speech killed an entire billion-dollar market.

> Seems like it took longer than 45 minutes to build out the feature.

This is very obviously a joke.

It is saying that GTPs had killed of the chatGTP wrapper type apps like chatPDF

“declarative” Lol

“like SQL”

“like python”

This guy is out of his mind

Anyone have a paste of the article? There is a paywall

I wouldn't bother, it's an absolutely awful hot take.

Paywall :(
