And starlink is freaking amazing! High speed internet in all rural and remote areas. Truly a great future for the human race.

Amazon and others are gearing up to launch thousands of satellites to compete. They are playing catch up to Elons vision.

This is the high cost of government regulation. It's actually cheaper and easier to start a rocket company and provide internet from space than to deal with all of the state, local, and federal entanglements that have been thoroughly co-opted by the incumbents.


And significantly worse for the environment. It's only cheaper if you ignore externalities (which, ironically, the government refuses to regulate)

So land based internet feeds 1 tree and Starlink feeds 30 trees. Guess the Ents will be using Starlink then.
