For anyone else lost on some of these ChatGPT features showing up I had to go to the bottom left account "..." menu -> Settings & Beta -> Beta features and that's where toggles for several features (including this) I've heard about were hiding.

Funnily enough, ChatGPT couldn't tell me that as, prior to this feature, it would only be able to say "As of my last update in January 2022..."

In the meantime I used Kagi's FastGPT [1], Phind [2] and Perplexity [3]. RAG (retrieval augmented generation) is a killer feature for LLMs.

Seems vastly more refined than the first iteration. It doesn't keep faltering on failed searches, at least with my limited testing.
