The "natural language" with very poor tooling compared to any popular language make coding in AppleScript a dreadful experience, "natural language "doesn't help you much in reducing ambiguity in learning, and of course, awful documentation doesn't help the people, so discoverability is awful

They should've made the automation system accessible from any language instead of inventing this one (and Mac had a few scripting languages)

The GUI paradigm has much more potential, but tedious for anything but simplistic stuff, so it should be on top of scripting so you could switch back and forth
