I also use WhatsApp (this is kind of required in the Netherlands). It was mentioned before that messenger and whatsapp would be connected to each other. I'm not planning to switch but the permanent message is certainly annoying.

Disappointing if true. That's the only Meta app I tolerate.

Meta must be doing really poorly if they can't afford to maintain an app. Better sell all their shares
