Oracle is no longer buying Intel processors for its data centers (bizjournals.com)

As far as I can tell this article does not directly link to the source for this information. It's unclear if Oracle is pushing for AMD and ARM CPU's but providing Intel CPU's for specific use cases or completely avoiding any new Intel CPU's. I hope Oracle is not short sited enough to stop providing the option for any modern Intel CPU's in there cloud. While I don't run anything that would benefit from Intel CPU's over AMD I'm sure such workloads exist. It would be a shame if Oracle could not support these workloads do to the refusal to buy any new Intel parts and offer then as a niche option.
