How do you even begin to quantify this



It's merely an observation. Like comparing TV news with radio. A 30min show seems to carry the same info as five minutes of audio.

Something I noticed when just reading a paragraph of light fiction. Weirdly a Poirot book. TV is incredibly lightweight. Not that I don't enjoy some visualisations/realisations.

I had completely given up on TV but did like the ride of Better Call Saul. Which has restored my faith in the medium.

So that's not to say TV can't be fun or info rich, it's just by and large complete vacuous dross. To the point I could believe it's there to keep people stupid.
