I would think that their made sure the profiles they ship with the product "Linux Ubuntu", "Windows 10" etc configured everything to be right. But perhaps that is not possible anymore.

Maybe they forgot, or there is some other reason?

Seems to me modern Windows and Linux versions install on any given motherboard more interchangeably than ever, while VM's are giving more trouble than ever.

Multibooting sure has never been easier, bare metal really can outperform, and if you need more than one OS at a time, there are so many extra unused PC's just waiting for reuse rather than discarding.
