really just an utter shame Microsoft didn't buy Unity and fold them into their dev platform to be the final jewel in the crown. Finally you could deploy applications anywhere you wanted, including xbox, hololens, etc.

also john riccitiello was the guy who steered EA so poorly in the early 00's so I'm unsurprised he's managed to steer unity so incompetently.
