An expansion in the hospitality sector as people became more able to take vacations. All sorts of small vendor jobs became feasible that previously weren't. Indeed groups of all kinds be ame feasible that weren't before, as people became more able to join each other from farther away. The invention of cars had an effect similar to the invention of cities.
