Very few traditional newspapers will link to external sites, even the "quality" ones.

Yup that's British media.

You will never see a source, usually you don't even get a full description.

Sometimes they link to something external but only if they don't want to discuss the topic but want to be able to claim to being fair.

BBC is most egregious for that.

You might, but odds are you won't. Sure, anything is possible. Live expectancy decreases so fast after 100. Just a handful ever make it to 115.
