Fred's right, it's "the f'ing article", as in RTFA (read the f'ing article) popularized afaik on Slashdot in it's golden age, which came from RTFM (read the f'ing manual), a popular response to a question that can be easily answered by reading the appropriate man(1) page or other such reference material.
