Show HN: Nino Doc – Block-based document editor module (nino.app)
5 points by harrisonlo on Jan 20, 2023 | hide | past | favorite | 2 comments
Nino Doc has a lot of features that we thought are not implemented properly in current document editors. Full offline mode with cloud sync, commit-based version control, edge-side rendered pages, to name but a few.

This is the 1st module released on Nino, a modular workspace app. It is built on an architecture that allows it to interoperate with all future modules.

Would love for you all to try it out and share your thoughts :)

Congrats - this looks a lot like a type of note taking app I've been wishing for myself for some time, especially when eyeballing all the features that are in the pipeline. That said, I don't see a lot of documentation or explanations, for example regarding things like importing from- or exporting to other note taking apps. And honestly, 1$/day for the simplest viable tier might be a bit steep for most, even if all the promised functionality is up and running. Still, I'll definitely bookmark the service and keep an interested eye on the rollout!

Thanks for checking it out! Noted on the documentation shortage, focusing on building now but that can definitely improve. Specific import/export features are not added yet, although you can simply paste in HTML or get the output HTML from the document's public page. I'll think about adding that feature, but it'll probably just be HTML or PDF, not to specific services. The pricing is tentative, tho it is aimed towards professionals who may use it for hours a day, and not necessarily for normal consumers who may just want to take class notes. And thanks for the interest!
