Oof. I wish Unreal had better support for mobile and 2D (and Godot had better support for console).

Unity basically does everything I want in an engine, but the company leadership gives me serious, serious doubts about Unity’s future as an engine for serious game development (and honestly even if I was making awful microtransaction filled gambling mobile games I would still be worried because it seems like Unity is trying to rent seek that revenue stream).


headcount between 5-8k before layoffs, so not a massive percentage to lay off.


That seems to be the case for a lot of these. The numbers seem scary until you view them as a %
