It has been obvious to me ever since, a few years ago, Musk promised that fully self-driving robotaxis were going to be on the roads a year in the future that he is a con artist and/or ridiculously over-optimistic about self-driving technology.

But is this why I am seeing this article on Hacker News now? Or am I seeing it now because Musk pissed off a bunch of people who disagree with his political stances?
