I don't trust Apple to do the right thing here. I don't think they'll make a rash decision, but I can't really trust them to make the correct decision.
Honestly, at this kind of scale I e.g. think US/EU legisligation should kick in, rather than whatever the Apple exec team desires for whatever personal or business-oriented reasons.
