I use WSL2 as my daily development driver and it is a very pleasant experience. My road here was from macOS to Pop!_OS to WSL2 with Arch.

The only missing piece for me was a tiling window manager, so I developed my own for Windows based on a mixture of bspwm, yabai and leftwm.
