non-Western fantasy has so much crossover potential - the mythological history of Africa, Asia, America is so different and so rich, yet untapped for the Western audience. Better extraction of these 'cultural resources' and their subsequent manufacture into high quality cultural products would greatly enrich our collective imaginations. On a diversity & inclusion angle, it would also solve our current challenges of getting better representation on screen, without jarring inconsistencies in the lore
