So to be clear, it's not affiliated with Y Combinator, but that's a hell of a lot of alumni from Y Combinator. I'm surprised I haven't seen any big discussions of this on Hacker News.

HN isn't the place YC people hang out. They have a private network called Bookface that they use instead.

Not really surprising considering crypto discussions on hn that aren't about some centralized entity leveraging it for the massess for multimedia messages
