Having a toggle switch that unlocks the car is not 'real' security.

If every car had that switch, it would offer no security at all.

It's only secure because it's uncommon and not known. i.e. obscure


No, it's a perfect example of security by obscurity. It's just a button, anyone can press it, no key or anything else needed. It's just different from the other cars, so it'll confuse a thief who is following a scripted runbook on "how to steal Kia". Hopefully enough that they move on to the next car.
