I'm used to Silicon Valley pricing. Manhattan is apparently much cheaper than I would have guessed.


A $2,700/mo apt on the LES is most likely 400-500 square feet. So cost is relative. That apartment in Silicon Valley would be 2-3x the size.


nah, my friend lives in a regular 800+ square feet one bedroom, it's just in Manhattan you don't get a dishwasher or laundry. She has to lug her clothes to the laundromat.
