I concur, I'm using a few applications - Yakuake Terminal, Chrome, Thunderbird, Eclipse+viPlugin, Empathy and Skype. Unity took me a while to get used to, but I've found it to be fantastic and look forward to seeing the production release with Ubuntu 12.04.
